There is no argument about it! Fancy Intense pink have outperformed the majority of investments globally! This includes major global indices, other natural resources, as well as some very well known global companies. One of the main reasons for Fancy Intense Pink going up in value in such a way is the Argyle Mine. The mine produces 90% of global pink diamonds. According to Rio tinto, the mine owner, the mine will be closing by 2020. This will greatly affect the global supply of Pink diamonds; which will further affect the value of pink diamonds. The other catalyst in such price appreciation is the fact that the global investment community is aware of the wealth preservation diamonds contribute, and is becoming a favorite Alternative investment class.

As of May 31, 2015 a 1.00 Fancy Intense Pink, radiant shape, with a VS2 clarity, the same as the 1.86ct that broke the record was being offered on the market for $333,000 a slight 12% discount of the world record price.
